3 Doors Down to perform at Jamboree

MOUNT HOPE - A spokesman for the Boy Scouts of America announces the band 3 Doors Down will perform at the Summit Bechtel Reserve on Saturday night. The band is replacing Train and Carly Rae Jepsen after they canceled scheduled performances in March due to the organization's exclusion of gays. After months of debate, the BSA's National Council decided to allow gay scouts to participate, while keeping the ban on gay leaders in place.  This new policy will take effect in January.
