MOUNT HOPE - Mount Hope officially became the third largest city in the state which means jamboree officials are pulling out all the stops.

The National Scout Jamboree is well underway. Boy scouts are at every turn but the sports activities and West Virginia mountains were beyond their expectations.

Ryan Richardson, a scout from Virginia says "it's way above them. I didn't expect it to be this big like not as much stuff to do. it's a lot of better than i thought it was going to be.

Brian Daly a scout from Connecticut said "my expectations were to just have a great time, and it completely just blew me away."

The summit offers extreme adventures for boy scouts from Puerto Rico and states around the nation.

Brenda Howells with The Boy Scouts of America says "during this time period, during the jamboree, it is the third largest city in west virginia, and it did happen overnight. it was not that sunday but monday it was."
