BECKLEY - The Jamboree has without a doubt brought a lot of attention to Southern West Virginia. The Third District Accelerator Team has teamed up with U.S. Rep Nick Rahall to capitalize on that. The Congressman unveiled the app for smartphones that highlights a series of workshops and performances throughout Southern West Virginia during the Jamboree. Rahall, along with Concord University representatives, Bluefield State College and others demonstrated the app. They believe that it will be very useful this week and in the future.
"This mobile app is going to truly provide a connection for not only our boy scouts but for all the businesses in this area, a connection with the tourists that come in with our mobile people to make available to them everything we have," said Congressman Rahall.
As of right now the app is only for the Google Android platform mobile phones.
