OAK HILL - Five people were arrested in Oak Hill following an investigation into heroin and prescription pill distribution.
Detroit residents Jamarr Deon Thompson, 31, Robert Johnson, 26, Jarvon Alexander Love, 23 are charged with conspiracy to commit a felony, delivery of a controlled substance and interstate transport of a controlled substance with intent to deliver. Cady Mariah Tomlin, 20 and Stacy Lynn Thomas, 25, are charged with possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance.
They were all arrested in Oak Hill on Thursday during an investigation involving Oak Hill Police, the Central West Virginia Drug Task Force, State Police and Fayette County Sheriff's Department, according to the criminal complaints.
Police followed a car with Thomas and Tomlin leaving a mobile home in Collinwood Trailer Park, where a detective had made a controlled purchase earlier. Police then performed a traffic stop on the car and searched the vehicle after getting consent from Thomas, the driver. A quantity of what police believed to be heroin was found inside Thomas's purse.
Afterward, several agencies executed a search warrant on the mobile home, where they found Thompson after a short foot pursuit. They later found Love, Johnson and Richmond inside the house. Thomas later stated she transported these men from Morgantown, and that they brought at least 200 bags of heroin and 300 Oxycodone 30mg prescription pills with them.
