UPDATE (6/24) - Police release the name of the passenger seriously hurt in an accident on Saturday.
Donna Smith is still listed in critical condition at a Charleston hospital after her husband, David Smith was killed as a result when they were both ejected from their truck on Rt. 19 near the Glen Jean exit Saturday afternoon.
Police say Smith struck another car, lost control, then struck a median and flipped into the southbound lane of 19. Police say neither passenger was wearing a seat belt.
UPDATE - One person is dead and another is in critical condition after an accident in Fayette County.
State Police say that David Smith was pronounced dead at Plateau Medical Center in Oak Hill after he and a passenger were ejected from his truck on Route 19 near the Glen Jean exit on Saturday afternoon.
Police say Smith struck another car, lost control, then struck the median and flipped into the southbound lanes of 19.
The passenger's name is not being released at this time, but she was airlifted to Charleston and remains in critical condition.
GLEN JEAN - Two people are airlifted to the hospital after an accident in Fayette County.
9-1-1 dispatchers say it happened just after 4:00 PM on Saturday near the Glen Jean exit on Route 19.
Two people were originally transported to Plateau Medical Center in Oak Hill after being ejected at the scene. They were then flown out for further treatment. No word yet on their conditions.
