WHEELING - State lawmakers looked at what parents go through to have their children exempt from vaccinations.
Thursday a Senate-House Health Committee focused on medical exemptions from immunizations required before children can go to school. The committee heard from parents who said medical issues, like dairy allergies and auto-immune disorders, make these shots dangerous to their children.
House Health Chair Don Perdue said he's concerned that medical exemptions aren't handled clearly and uniformly across the state.
