HUNTINGTON - A Fayette County man who previously pleaded guilty to possession of child pornography was indicted by a federal grand jury sitting in Huntington Tuesday for failure to appear for a sentencing hearing back in May of 2012.
Brett Bowyer, 34, of Scarbro, was charged with one count of failing to appear for his sentencing as required by the terms of his release. He pleaded guilty to a possession charge back in October of 2011.
On June 12, 2013, Bowyer was arrested in Florida for failing to move over for a Brevard County deputy whose vehicle had its emergency lights flashing.
Bowyer faces up to an additional five years in prison and a $250,000 fine if he's convicted of the charge contained in the indictment.
