ANSTED - One young man is arrested and a juvenile accomplice could be facing charges after a reported break-in at the Shell station in Ansted early Tuesday morning.
Jonathan Crist, 18, of Victor was arrested and charged with misdemeanor offenses of obstructing a police officer and fleeing on foot from a police officer. His bond was set at $1,000 but his bond status is unknown at this time.
The second suspect was identified as a 17-year-old from the area, who could be facing misdemeanor offenses from the Office of the Fayette County Prosecuting Attorney.
The incident happened around 2:30 Tuesday morning, according to Fayette County Sheriff Steve Kessler. Crist and his accomplice placed a false call saying they could see people trying to break in through the windows of the store. Deputies found no damage, and when checking the area they saw two young men running away.
The deputies performed a foot pursuit through several residential yards on back streets and a wooded area before apprehending the young men. Several deputies had minor injuries from the pursuit.

ANSTED - The Fayette County Sheriff's Department is investigating a reported break-in at the Shell Station in Ansted.
Dispatchers said that the incident happened at 2:29 Tuesday morning. A caller alleged that they could see people trying to break in through the windows of the store. Newswatch has also learned that one suspect is in custody.
