Inmate indicted on more charges

UPDATE-

A Mount Olive inmate accused of stabbing another prisoner in Fayette County is found guilty.

Fayette County Prosecuting Attorney Carl Harris tells Newswatch 27-year-old Christopher Cox has been found guilty of first degree murder with no mercy. Cox was facing charges of attempted murder and malicious assault.

Cox was previously indicted on a murder charge in the September 2011 death of Mount Olive Inmate Joseph Braddock. He has served 7 years of a 30-year sentence for second-degree murder and second-degree robbery.

FAYETTEVILLE- The trial of a Mount Olive inmate accused of stabbing another inmate is underway in Fayette County.

27-year-old Christopher Cox is facing charges of attempted murder and malicious assault. Cox is accused of breaking a broomstick and stabbing 35-year-old inmate Talbert Dehaven the third on April 11 of 2012. Cox was previously indicted on a murder charge in the September 2011 death of Mount Olive inmate Joseph Braddock.

Cox has served 7 years of a 30-year sentence for second-degree murder and second-degree robbery. The trial is scheduled to last all week.
