UPDATE- Gabriella Ann Brown gets four years of probation for obtaining prescription drugs by fraud.

Brown pled guilty to the charge in December and admitted to stealing more than 200 prescription pills from the evidence locker of the Beckley Police Department while she served as the evidence technician.

Assistant U.S. attorney Steven Lowe said hundreds of cases had to be thrown out in Raleigh County as a result of Brown's crimes.  During sentencing, Judge Fabor said he feels that jail time would disrupt Brown's rehabilitation process, and he told Brown he was going out on a limb with her. Fabor also elected not to impose any fines in the case.
