RAINELLE- 21 dog have been rescued from a home in Rainelle tonight.
Rainelle Police Chief JP Stevens says his officers responded to a wellness check Wednesday afternoon on Tenth Street in Rainelle. When they opened the door an overwhelming smell of animal feces and urine made them investigate further. 21 dogs were taken from the home, and two adults were also taken, one to the hospital and another to a shelter. Stevens says he just wants the issue to be resolved, and hopes to clean up the area so neighbors don’t have to deal with the smell.
