BECKLEY - You can wear jeans to work soon as part of a fundraiser for the United Way of Southern West Virginia.

Folks have the option of wearing jeans during the work week of April 15-19 as part of Denim for a Difference. Badges will be given to participants to inform others why they chose to wear jeans to work.

All of the proceeds benefit the United Way campaign, which serves more than thirty-two non-profits. Executive Director Margaret O'Neal said not only do participants get to be comfortable in jeans that week, "But at the end of the day, you go home and you know you did a really good thing because everybody's dollar...joins together to make a huge difference in our community."

The suggested donation is $5 for wearing jeans for one day, $10 for three days and $15 for the whole week. To register, call the United Way at 304-253-2111.
