SEWELL MOUNTAIN-Route 60 in Fayette County has reopened after a gas tanker rolled over and closed the road for more than 6 hours.
Corporal Syner with The State Police says the road has been re-opened. The accident happened just after 6pm Tuesday night 2 miles west of Rainelle on top of Sewell Mountain. The truck flipped on its side coming around a sharp turn on the road, when it rolled it split the corner of the tanker, that's when diesel fuel began leaking. The driver of the truck was flown to CAMC and reportedly suffered head trauma, there's no word on the extent of that injury. Crews from Danese and Rainelle Fire Departments, State Police, and DOH all responded to the scene, it was cleared up a little before midnight Tuesday.
