Magnitude-2.7 quake rattles Braxton County

GASSAWAY - Several Central West Virginians are rattled after an earthquake Sunday morning

The quake was reportedly felt in Gassaway, Frametown and Wilsie, all in Braxton County. The U. S. Geological Survey reports the 2.7 magnitude quake struck around 10 A.M. The epicenter was 4miles west-southwest of Gassaway and 7 miles west-southwest of Sutton, but could be felt 200 miles away in Alexandria, Virginia.

So far, no injuries have been reported.
