Travis Tritt to headline Friends of Coal Auto Fair

BECKLEY - It's official - country singer Travis Tritt is headlining the Saturday night concert at this year's Friends of Coal Auto Fair.

The announcement was made at a news conference Monday afternoon. Davisson Brothers Band will be the concert's opening act.

The Auto Fair is also a fundraiser for the YMCA of Southern West Virginia to help fund not only youth programs and events, but also maintenance of the YMCA's Paul Cline Memorial Sports Complex.

CEO Jay Ray of the YMCA said organizers try to make the fair better and better each year. "I think the key to keeping this show going is keeping it fresh," he explained. "You don't want it to become stale and that's something that you risk the chance of doing if you're not thinking outside of the box and looking at different ways."

The concert will be held on July 20 at 7 p.m. Tickets will go on sale on April 1 at 10 a.m. at Tickets will also be sold at the YMCA on 121 East Main Street in Beckley.

Prices for lawn tickets are $12 in advance and $18 on the day of the show. Children get in free. Prices for front row tickets are $37 in advance and $45 on the day of the show. Reserved seating tickets cost $27 dollars in advance and $35 on the day of the show.
