HINTON - The man accused of setting two fires in the early morning hours of February 26 that left about 30 people without a place to live was given additional charges.

Hinton Police Chief Derek Snavely said his office brought forward two counts of attempted murder against Billy Gill, 25.  The new charges stemmed from the first fire set on 5th Ave.  Snavely said that Gill got into an argument with one of the resident's before he started the fire and that Gill went through with his actions knowing that two people were still inside.

Gill's next court appearance is Friday morning.
