BECKLEY - The mother and stepfather charged in connection with the death of their two-year-old son in Raleigh County waive their right to a preliminary hearing in court Tuesday morning.  The case of both 23-year-old James Green and 27-year-old Brandy Smallwood is heading to the next session of the grand jury.  A psychological evaluation is also scheduled for Green, and his bond will be addressed in circuit court.  Green is facing a murder charge, while Smallwood faces child neglect resulting in death.  Authorities say they found the couple's two-year-old son unresponsive and Green passed out from an apparent drug overdose on February 8th.
