OAK HILL - An annual fundraiser will be held in Fayette County for a local radio association.

The Plateau Amateur Radio Association is hosting its 33rd annual Hamfest at the Lewis Center in Oak Hill. Folks can buy, sell and trade amateur radio equipment at the Hamfest. More than fifteen vendors will be there.

Jany Hardy, the secretary and treasurer of Plateau Amateur Radio, said she is excited to see familiar faces. "It's like having a family reunion," she said. "Cause sometimes, at a Hamfest is the only time you see them each year."

The Amateur Radio Hamfest is from 8 a.m. until 2 p.m. on Saturday. There will be several door prizes throughout the day. Money raised will go toward Plateau's equipment maintenance and club activities.
