BLUEFIELD- Bluefield Police said one of their cruisers was intentionally set on fire Friday morning.

It happened around 5:30 AM. The Crown Victoria was sitting outside the station and Patrolman J. W. Murray said  ten seconds after the car went up in flames he was outside trying to put it out with a fire extinguisher.

Murray said the suspects poured excelerant on the police cruiser then had a trail about 30 feet south on Mercer Street.  He said he saw a suspicious vehicle pull away and turn on Roger Street right after the fire.

Murray said they are reviewing surveillance video. They're also asking if you have any information to call Bluefield Police Department at 304-327-6101.
