Crews battle early morning house fire

UPDATE 2/6/13:

BRADLEY - An early morning fire in Raleigh County kills several family pets.

Dispatchers said it happened around 2:10 Wednesday morning at a home on Lansing Street.  No people were injured, but the family's two cats did not make it out.  22 firefighters from Bradley, Pax, and Mount Hope all responded. 

A next-door neighbor said she is shocked this happened. "I feel very bad for them because he lost his job and I'm not sure if he has found another one or not," said Louise Atkins. "So I know they're gonna be in need of help."

The cause of the fire is under investigation.

ORIGINAL STORY 2/6/13:

BRADLEY - Three departments are on scene of a house fire in Raleigh County.

It happened on Lansing Street, which is off of Maple Fork Road (County Route 1).  Dispatchers said that the call came in around 2:10 Wednesday morning. Bradley, Pax, and Mount Hope Volunteer Fire Departments all responded.

No one was injured, but an ambulance is on standby.
