FAYETTEVILLE - Restoration of a historical site in Fayette County is underway, as part of a project to bring new businesses to Fayetteville.
Property owner and developer Adam Stephens said he received property on Henry Street several years ago. He is restoring the Dickerson House and bringing it up-to-date. The house has been around since the 1870s.
Stephens said the renovation process has been interesting. "[To] try to figure out how to mix new material with the old material - everyday is a challenge, a puzzle, to try to get this house back together."
After the Dickerson House is restored, Stephens said he hopes to create nearly 30 new parking spaces and work on landscaping.
