Family, friends, and coworkers mourn the loss of an EMT who passed away on the job this week.
An EMS honors funeral was held at the Church of God Family Worship Center Saturday afternoon. Members of ambulance squads and fire departments across the state gathered to pay their respects.
Mark Kinder, 26, of Mullens, was killed early Tuesday morning while riding in an ambulance that collided with a semi-truck in Lewis County.
"He leaves so many friends, not only his family, but so many friends in EMS," said Paul Seamann, Director of Operations for Jan-Care Ambulance Service, Inc., "And he leaves a lasting legacy, a lasting spirit of what it truly is to care about others and to want to give of yourself to help those."
More than 35 emergency vehicles drove to the cemetery to honor Kinder.
