The Flashback Ends....January Weather Returns!

Good Monday Morning Friends!

I hope everyone had a chance to enjoy the amazing weather we felt the last 4 days. Records fell left and right this weekend with temperatures around 70 in many different neighborhoods. The beginning of the end arrived yesterday in the form of the rain that continues to fall this morning across Southern West Virginia.

A potent cold front is currently just to our northwest with temperatures in Huntington and Charleston already dropping into the 40s. I would recommend the umbrella and a jacket this morning, even though most of us are still in the 50s. These temperatures will not last very long.

Rain continues on and off on the Monday with temperatures dropping into the 40s. This front will take its sweet time leaving the area. I keep the chance for rain showers in the forecast through early Wednesday when the upper flow finally pushes the front out of the area.

We actually get a few days of traquil weather behind the front, but temperatures back to January standards....highs from Thursday and Friday around 40 degrees.
