Football season is winding down but not first without the Super Bowl. We may not know which teams are heading there just yet, but we do know a place where you can get some football munchies, and while you're at it see how it's all made.
Blue Smoke Salsa started in Robin Hildebrand's basement in 1993. She's grown since then with seven differnt salsas, two pepper jellies, hot sauce and chef sauce. During a normal day of production 2000 jars are produced, where 1000 pounds of sweet roma tomatoes are used. Hildrebrand says she likes to take her ingredients from the farm to market.
You can find the salsa in Kroger, Grants Supermarket, Tamarack and recently Little General. If you're looking to raise money for your school or organization Blue Smoke also does funraisers.
