A Tranquil Stretch of Weather With a Side of Flurries?

Good Morning Friends!

I hope you enjoyed the first year of 2013...from either the slopes or the comfort of your home. Those were the only two places that made sense to be with the grey, chilly and blah conditions.

This morning brings us some slick spots for the first work day and a bunch of frost on the windshield....so, a few extra minutes to get yourself going is a great idea. This dreary weather from the morning finally gives way to a sunny finish to the day with temperatures....well, not warming up at all. Most of us are stuck in the low and mid 30s. A ridge of high pressure will settle in directly above us for tonight, knocking temperatures into the teens.

We are watching a couple waves of energy in the overall pattern that could bring us a few flakes early on Friday morning and again on Sunday. Besides these two minor hick ups, the pattern seems quiet with a possible warm up heading into early next week, where temperatures might actually get above average (fingers crossed.)
