Students Back at Wade Center

The Wade Center is welcoming back students after months of fundraising and repairs.

More than 50 kids are expected to be at the center Tuesday afternoon.  They met their fundraising goal back in September, but couldn't open after they met requirements from DHHR and passed State Fire Marshal's Office inspections.  The center's thankful for the community's help this year.

"It's a big relief to finally get these kids back here.  We just have to give all the glory to God for that," says Katana Mullen of the Wade Center.  "He has definitely brought us through all this, so we're really thankful."

But Director Jessica McDaniel says they won't be able to use center's vans to pick up students.  They're talking with churches and other groups to see if they can help.
