Cheerleaders in Shady Spring are hoping to provide warmth to local children in need this holiday season.
They wrapped donation boxes on Friday to collect new and gently-used coats for the annual Mac's Toy Fund. These boxes will be placed in about a dozen different locations in the area, including in local businesses and in the schools.
Organizers said the cheerleaders are working hard behind the scenes to give back to their peers in need.
Used coats will be collected until December 13 and new coats will be collected until December 15th at the Mac's Toy Fund event.
