David "Bugs" Stover finally arrives in Washington D.C. after setting out on foot from Wyoming County.
He made the trek to make a statement in support of coal. Stover met with Rep. Nick Rahall, Senator Joe Manchin, and Rep. Shelley Moore Capito. He says he is pleased with the response he got from the state's leaders, but this is only the beginning of his work.
"I leave here feeling better than I left Wyoming County, feeling I was frightened about our economic future not for the short term, but for the long term this could have been disastrous, and it may yet be," he says.
Stover says he will now catch a Greyhound bus back home and begin compiling data to continue sending to Washington.
