One local town will temporarily lose their water service Wednesday night to help improve their service.
Water customers serviced by the city of Mount Hope will have their water service interrupted to allow a water line tie in to a new water tank. The addition of the new hookup will help service the new boys scout camp opening next year.
The town is currently serviced by two additional water tanks. Officials said opening the new line is a welcomed addition. "The city is going to provide water to the Boy Scouts of America and we run a utility company here to actually water and moist water disposal," said Mount Hope Mayor Michael Martin. "We can always use more customers."
The interruption will take place Wednesday night beginning around 10 and last until around 1 a.m.
