The State Division of Highways (DOH) is holding a mandatory meeting Wednesday for contractors interested in bidding on debris removal projects from Superstorm Sandy.
The meeting will be held at the Days Inn in Flatwoods. The contracts would be for the removal of downed trees, damaged roots and brush.
Attendees must be licensed contractors and meet DOH specifications. Bids will be received on December 6.
Secretary of Transportation Paul Mattox said the state's cost of cleaning up the roads from the storm would reach $6 million dollars.
