UPDATE: Police Obtain Warrant in Shooting

UPDATE (11/15):

Police in Beckely are obtaining a warrant after a shooting earlier this week.

Detectives say the suspect shot at a victim in her car on Hartley Avenue Monday night, hitting it twice.  Police will be charging the suspect with Wanton Endangerment.  No names have been released at this time. 

Police say this incident is related to the shooting on Hartley Avenue, the same night, that sent a 20-year-old to CAMC, who is still in critical condition.

A 20-year-old man is in a Charleston hospital after being shot in the head Monday night.

Beckley Police say it happened around 9:30 PM at the intersection of Hartley Avenue and Hunter Street.  The victim was first taken to a local hospital before being sent to Charleston.  He was in "extremely critical" condition as of Tuesday morning.  Beckley Police Sgt. David Allard says they've been talking with neighbors last night.  He also says the shooting may have stemmed from a long standing dispute.



Police are investigating a shooting that took place in Beckley Monday night.

Police say they received the call about a possible shooting around 9:30 pm. They tell WOAY a man was shot at the intersection of Hartley Avenue and Hunter Street.

EMS transported him to a local hospital to be treated. Police say they don't know how many times he was shot and there's still no status on his condition.
