Parts of the New RIver Gorge are back open after this week's snow storm.
The Canyon Rim and Sandstone Visitor Centers reopened Friday. Park Rangers will also be doing damage assessments and start cleaning up camping grounds next week. But they advise everyone to stay off the trails because of dangerous conditions.
"Our concerns is hazardous trees on the trails and weekend trees that could fall at any time. We really advise visitors to stay off the trails that have not been cleared," says Robin Snyder of the National Park Service.
Some roads, including Fayette Station Road, are still closed at this time.
