An accident involving an ambulance Wednesday night is under investigation.

Raleigh County Sheriff's Deputies said that a Jan Care Ambulance was driving North on Robert C. Byrd Drive in Crab Orchard when a vehicle struck the ambulance on the drivers side.  The impact caused the ambulance to roll on its side into a ditch.  The other vehicle hit a pickup truck in the Southbound lane.

Deputies said charges may be pending.
