A Few Morning Showers...Nice Mid-Week!
Good Monday Morning Everyone!
After a wonderful weekend, mother nature decided it was time to balance herself out with a few showers across the region this morning. The main batch of precipitation will be out of here by the mid-morning hours, but enough low-level moisture will be left in the atmosphere that we could squeeze a few more showers along the mountains this afternoon. A nice ridge of high pressure sets up for Tuesday and Wednesday with temperatures on Wednesday close to 70 degrees. Thursday and Friday look a bit unsettled as an upper-level low pressure system from Canada drops into the region bringing a couple chances of showers into the forecast.
This leads us to Bridge Day! First peek at the forecast shows a typical fall day. A lot of cloud cover early as we will continue to be under the influence of the upper-level low. We will start to see peaks of sunshine in the late morning, with more sunshine through the afternoon hours. The winds will pick up with the amount of sunshine that we do see, as a northwest flow will push much colder air into the region. I expect the winds to pick up with gusts of 20-25 mph possible with this northwest flow, but this is 5 days out. The wind forecast will change a few more times, but as of right now, it looks to be a bit breezy out on the gorge.
