Grand Jury Indicts Several on Murder Charges

The Mercer County Grand Jury indicts several people for recent murders this year.

Among them was Tracy Lee Atwell, who was arrested in April for allegedly killing his wife, Christina, and kidnapping their daughter Porschia near Spanishburg.  Tracy and Porschia were both found on Egeria Road in a remote part of Mercer County a few days after the murder and kidnapping.  Atwell's also charged with robbery and abduction of a child by a family member.

Gerald Wayne Little, 60, was also indicted on 1st degree murder, robbery, and failure to register as a sex offender charges.  Princeton Police accuse him of killing Jerry Buckner back in March at a Honaker Street home.  Investigators say robbery was the motive behind Buckner's death.

The grand jury also indicted Lorenzo Christopher Barnes on murder and robbery charges.  He's accused of killing Jason Hicks on February 2nd on North Wickham Street in Princeton.  Tammy Keen, 39, Thomas Hall, 38, and Chad Hylton were also indicted for their roles in the death of Timothy Dewitt on Eades Mill Road in March, 2011.
