County commissioners will be talking about ways to lower high regional jail costs.

They'll meet in Clarksburg this Sunday and Monday to discuss problems associated with rising costs and how they can be fixed.  Mercer County Commissioners say they've been charged $700,000 by the last five months.  some commissioners say the state should chip in to help county governments with this burden.

"They can give us much help, if they want to," says Commissioner Joe Coburn.  "We can't make them, but state government can really help us a whole lot.

The county's budgeted more than $1.4 million to help pay for housing inmates at Southern Regional Jail.
