WCIR Radio-thon

West Virginia University Children's Hospital and 103CIR are teaming up all for a good cause.

Today through Friday 103CIR is hosting the seventh annual CIR Cares for Kids Radiothon, where listeners can call in and make donations for the WVU Children's Hospital. The money will go toward treatment, equipment and personal items that will help make the kids hospital stay more comfortable. The hospital has helped save numerous young lives and the success stories are why organizers get involved.

"There is one child that was born at the hospital 20 weeks early, weighed a pound and seven ounces. Now he's is a five year old kid happy and healthy." Dave Willis of WCIR said.

"Danielle had a cavernoma brain tumor. She'd had it for 10 years and didn't realize it. She was treated at WVU Children's hospital. I could go on and on and talk to you about children from this area who are, you know, miracle children." Lora Edgell, the Children's Miracle Network Director said.

If you would like to pledge or make a donation you can call 1 (877)719- 437 between 6 AM and 6 PM or visit www.103cir.com. You can also stop by the Hyundai dealership in Beckley.
