UPDATE: Richwood Man Arrested in Nettie Armed Robbery

A Richwood man has been arrested for allegedly robbing the Nettie Go-Mart at gunpoint on Tuesday.

Thomas Christian Caufield, 29, of Richwood, was taken into custody by Nicholas County Sheriff's Deputies on Wednesday.  He's accused of pointing a handgun at the clerk and taking off on foot with cash from the store.  Caufield is currently in Central Regional Jail.


The Nicholas County Sheriff's Department is investigating an armed robbery in Nettie.

Deputies said that it happened around 12:30 Tuesday morning at Go-Mart.  The suspect approached the cashier with a gun and left with money.  The man is described as a white male, 5'6" and about 150 pounds.  He was wearing a blue and white flannel jacket, a hoodie, sun glasses, bandana, and dark pants.  Witnesses saw the man leave the store on foot heading towards Route 20.
