A Greenbrier County woman has multiple charges against her while a police officer has a few bumps and bruises after a traffic stop earlier this week.
Around 7:30 Wednesday a Rainelle police officer conducted a traffic stop on Gladys Surbaugh. She said she didn't have her drivers license, then while the officer went back to his cruiser she started using vulgar language towards the officer. After minutes of yelling at him he attempted to place her under arrest, she pulled away and punched the officer in the face causing him to have a bloody nose and busted lip.
Surbaugh was arrested and is charged with battery on a police officer, assault on a police officer and obstructing a police officer.
She has since been released on bond..
