OAK HILL -- Oak Hill High School held a pep assembly today to get their students pumped up for their first game of the season tonight.

The pep assembly wasn't just a celebration for the football team, but for all fall sports. Teachers say that today is a great day to enjoy the Friday and it gives both teachers and students a break to have fun.

Jason Blankenship, the head football coach at Oak Hill, says “these kids that are athletes put in a lot of extra time after school so they deserve a little extra credit and the other kids that cheer for them and what not on Friday nights and at soccer games stuff to they deserve the credit and have fun on Friday every once in a while and it takes a little bit of stress off of teachers and the kids and we have a little bit of fun.”

You can catch extra coverage tonight with Spencer and Larry on the 5th quarter tonight at 11 P.M.
