OCEANA - Four pedestrians were struck by a car in Wyoming County and three of them have been hospitalized.

The accident happened on Main Street on State Route Ten in Oceana, according to Oceana Police Chief Jeff Barlow.

Barlow said a woman from Raleigh County drove the car off the road, striking the pedestrians on the edge of the roadway. One person was airlifted to the hospital and two others were sent by ambulance to an area hospital, according to Barlow. The fourth person reported only having minor injuries.

What caused the accident is still under investigation, but Barlow told Newswatch it was not the result of drunk driving.
