RAINELLE -- Hundreds of motorcyclists and area residents are expected to come to Rainelle to ride in Lindsey Raines memorial poker run. This year marks the eighth year of the run and has raised over 45-thousand dollars in scholarships to local high schools.

Officials say that they were able to give out an extra one-thousand dollars to the scholarship fun, and it's all for the kids.

Paul Raines, the father of Lindsey, says “she liked to ride and we like kids and it helps out like i say we gave out $46,000 so far, we've got some kids to go on through now and they're pharmacists, doctors, and law enforcement so we keep it going for that reason.”

Officials say that last year over 300 riders participated and are hoping for an even larger turnout this year.
