OAK HILL – Hundreds of former Fayette County students are reuniting for a weekend party.

The annual Collins and Oak Hill High School reunion is ready for another Labor Day weekend.

The reunion began as a fundraiser for scholarships but it has since grown into a dinner and social hour for close to 250 former students.

But as the good times roll, they haven't forgotten the roots, as $25,000 was raised for graduating seniors this year. Organizer Sherry Keffer says it's satisfying to help our youth.

“We know that education is truly the key to the future,” says Keffer, “And it's providing opportunities to students who might not otherwise not have such an opportunity that we're able to lay groundwork for a better Fayette County.”

Red Devil Nation will unite for coffee and donuts on Saturday morning in Oak Hill before heading to Tamarack at 5 p.m. for dinner.
