BECKLEY -- Today is the last day for the Appalachian Festival in Beckley but there was no shortage of things to do and things to see.
Different vendors showcased their talents, whether it was making kettle corn, turning wood or knitting quilts, every stand provided a cultural experience that is significant to Appalachian culture. Locals say that this event also helps them get some free publicity.
Jamie Inman, of Cozy Creations, says “it really brings an awareness to some local vendors you know who are in the area and gives us little guys a chance to get out there in the community and make ourselves known.”
This year marked the 50th year of the arts and crafts fair and locals say they can't wait for year 51.
