UPDATE: Captured Beckley man wanted for murder awaits extradition to W.Va.

APPLETON, WI - A Beckley man wanted for a July murder in Raleigh County waived his extradition hearing Thursday in Wisconsin.

Desean Farley, 22, of Beckley, is in custody, according to Calumet County Jail Administrator Mark Wiegert. The Beckley Police Department is making arrangements for a pickup within ten days, according to Beckley Police Detective W. G. Pannell.

APPLETON, WI - Police in Wisconsin arrest a Beckley man wanted for a July murder in Raleigh County.

A Calumet County official tells Newswatch Desean Farley, 22, Beckley was arrested Wednesday in the Appleton Wisconsin area.

Farley was wanted for the first degree murder of Chester Hayes, stemming from an argument at the Wilbrian Apartments Complex in Beckley on July 12th. Farley has remained at large until Wednesdays capture.

Details relating to his arrest are not known at this time. An official at The Calumet County Jail says Farley is currently an inmate at the facility.

A spokesperson for the Calumet County District Attorney's Office adds Farley will appear before a Calumet County District Court Judge Thursday.
