BECKLEY -- Raleigh county school buses spent the day getting all the final tune-ups for tomorrows first day of school. Workers made sure the oil was checked, tires filled with air, and all seatbelts on the bus were tightly fastened. Officials say that this year the buses are ready to roll and just want other motorists to be safe while buses are picking up the kids.
Gary Daniel, the transportation director for Raleigh County schools, says “we just want all motorists to look out for the buses and the students and give them a break; we know everyone's in a hurry, but remember we got to get the kids to school safely.”
Officials say that they're expecting to be picking up over 9,000 kids tomorrow.
