BECKLEY -- The Shade Tree Car Show took place today on the lawn of Jackie Withrow hospital to support the patients. Both modern and classic cars were on display, all to help support those in need.

Employees say that this event helps those inside the hospital, and for everyone to have a good time. For those showing their cars, this event isn't about winning.

Gerald Dobbins, a resident of Hinton, says “well it's not of a thing of getting trophies, it's a place where you meet your friends, friendship is old friends and you make new friends and you use your car, if they know the car, they know you by the car.”

The patients were treated to the sights of more than 100 cars.
