Adult truancy hearings got underway Thursday morning in Raleigh County Court.
A series of hearings took place Thursday following the conclusion of the Donald Dunn first degree murder trial. 15-parents were supposed to be on hand with only six showing up. The hearings were open to the public due to kids not being involved in the courtroom. With the majority of the cases being first time offenders, jail time was not given with the parents being able to redeem themselves during the next year.
