FAYETTEVILLE-- The West Virginia department of health and human resources is urging parents to take action to ensure children have the proper vaccinations before school starts.
The Fayette County health department provided students the shots needed for each grade. Officials say that these requirements will help students ensure the safety of their children as well as other students in the area.
Dr. Rose Anne Michaels, the administrator of the Fayette County Health Department, says “one thing it's important to keep them healthy and another thing is it's the law West Virginia is one of 2 states that requires immunization for school entry.”
