One Mercer County event is flexing its muscles to raise money for charity

PRINCETON -- The Jeremiah Memorial Push Pull and Run for Hope started today to raise money for the pull for hope foundation. The event started with a 5k run and then moved indoors to Death By Crossfit for a lifting competition.

The event is being held to help two kids, Emma and Savannah, who are battling cancer. As many as one hundred people participated, either by volunteering to help run the event, or compete in the running or lifting event.

James Sorah, a member of the Pull for Hope Foundation, says that “Pull for Hope is a foundation that was built to help sick children with expenses with anything they may occur during the year it's a big deal to people to come out raise money get some fellowship together that sort of thing.”

Officials say that the event rose over $1700 for both of the little girls.
